The client’s pre-existing water purification system was inadequate to meet the rinse water needs for microelectronics components plating. Specifically, they were spending too much money on re-running batches that failed to meet quality control standards. Commercial Water identified that the pH was responsible for the plating compounds precipitating out of solution, thereby not plating to surfaces. We reconfigured the client’s water system, including water softener, carbon filter, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and other supportive components. In doing so, the pH of rinse water was effectively addressed. The high purity system is being maintained on a scheduled maintenance program by Commercial Water.
